Welcome to Sci/Why!

In the beginning, Claire had an idea.

It was a simple idea - to gather a group of like-minded writers and launch a blog. Why? To help parents, teachers and librarians discover the wide world of Canadian science writing for kids.

We heard the idea, and we thought it was pretty good. And here we are, a group of writers who love not only science, but talking about it - to kids, and anyone else who will listen. So welcome, and join us as we explore life, the universe, and everything!
